Wyrm

I finally advanced to the respectable level of 60 today; it was a great joy… Especially as it signalled the end of a tiring and somewhat long (for lack of a better word) Scarab hunt!

Making the occasion even more joyful was my good friend Topher’s response… He was practically immediately waiting for me in the Darashia Depot, to help me complete the legendary Necromancer quest.

I was grateful and quickly hurried along from Ankrahmun to meet him.

It was quite scary down there, the Necromancers seemed like they had been expecting us… They had there Mummies and an assortment of other un-dead waiting beside them… Thankfully we didn’t run into the infamous Necropharus!

Topher was brave in the face of a gang of un-dead, killing every last one before my eyes… The Necromancers where screaming and pleading for mercy. After he dealt with them, I received there precious loot!

Once we had completed the quest… We decided to hunt a few Vampires, we where doing quite fine… Until…

Five came at once, ALL attacking me... Topher seemed quite distressed about this, Sudden Death runes started flying and Vampire kind started dying. I was shocked by this situation but was able to keep up with healing quite alright.

About five minutes after this event I blacked out for some reason… Completely lost consciousness for many minutes, I was informed… Incredibly I survived thanks to Topher, whom kept the Vampires at bay and pushed me to a mildly safe position.

I must say a thank you to Topher, you saved my life… I’m in your debt.

My good friend Rat traversed the lands with me today. We where trying to obtain the mystical blessings of the five magic sages

The first blessing was quite difficult for Rat; the massive amounts of fire burned his fur, then his whiskers, thus losing his sense of direction somewhat. We managed to leave with our lives intact though... The next part of our journey involved a long walk and gathering of food...



We had finally made it all the way to Carlin... There was no danger here thankfully, so we left with haste to make up for all the time spent walking... Unfortunately it was an even longer walk to the next Sage... Though this too had a distinct lack of danger... Where we getting roped into a false sense of security?



It would appear so... On our long walk to the fourth Sage we where ambushed by a barrage of Snakes and Cyclops. After dealing with them we made our way back to town. Unfortunately Rat could not follow me to my next destination...



But he was there with me in spirit :)

I assisted my beautiful girlfriend in a Dwarf Guard hunt the other day. She had just advanced in magical wisdom and know how... So she could summon two Monks to aid us... I was blocking the Dwarf Guards most of the time, while she would sic the Monks on them, and then follow up the attack with her magic wand.

This system worked very well for us, I didn’t need to heal at all… And she was practically never in danger.

At one point a Dwarf Guard we where battling against got a little drunk and started insulting… This seemed to anger Lady-Wyrm… She ordered the Monks to stand down, while aiming a Sudden Death Rune directly at it. The Dwarf Guard nearly fainted with the blow, no matter how drunk he was… That hit was a sobering experience.

I must have been good this year. When I (like so many others) went to visit Santa Claus, instead of getting a selection of Apples or Candy... I was presented with a totally huggable Teddy Bear!

This news seems to have traveled far and wide in a matter of hours... Perfect strangers keep asking me to hug and tug at it's ears.

Only three words can really summarize my feelings on the subject.

Best... Christmas... Ever...



Another exciting event unfolded a few days ago... I met a friend of Aqauanub's, Xunazel... A very gifted Royal Paladin whom helped me take on the deranged minded Black Knight.

It was my first time in that den of madness... Reading the books as we approached his quarters, made my stomach churn with worry... Thanks to Xunazel's well aimed bolts, and my shield though... We overcame his strength and agility. Taking his loot and treasure for our own.

I have joined the new guild Krazy Krew made by Krazyloon. Whilst it is only new, the snowball effect seems to be firmly in place for this troupe of Ruberans... High levels and respected people are gathering, and already talk of guild hunts and quests are being spoken of.

I was surprised and humbled to be offered a place in the guild... Hail Krazy Krew!

On a side note, I'd like to acknowledge Myrmidon... I enjoyed my time getting to know you all, and I hope there are no hard feelings. Myrmidon was my first guild, and will always remain special to me.

As I stared out to sea, wondering if there are any other water dragons out there... I felt a slight breeze, then shivers... Port Hope, deep in the jungle is a cold and frightening place... I decided to light up my area with a few stark words... "Utevo Lux"... Nothing happened for a while... Suddenly all the remaining light in the area was collaborating, I thought it was going to explode... Light filled the sky, bright and warm... I felt stronger, maybe I'll get some new runes :)
